On our own!

Sunday 15th October 2017 - Cazilhac, near Carcassonne.

Our constant blue sky has left us but we won't complain.  It is still warm and dry but rather windy.  We had a slow morning and watched the remaining vans and caravans leave the site.  It appears we are the only people left on this site.  It's nice to have all the facilities to ourselves.

We wanted to have a look at the rest of Carcassonne, outside the old ramparts.  It has some nice features.

The old bridge over L'Aude river.

Carnot Place.  No sign of Fred, or his army!

Not sure if it is blasphemous to take a photo during a church service?

The port of the Canal du Midi...very quiet today.

We decided to cycle westwards along the canal which worked for a while until the cycle route was 'barre' and we had a little detour through some villages including Malves en Minervois and Trebes where we rejoined the canal.

I feel like an advert for Natural Gas while I wear this jacket!

We returned to the van for a cup of tea.  We washed the bikes and had our Sunday tea followed by smelly cheese, Roquefort and Camembert.  We listened to Radio 2 by the Internet.  Currently we are listening to Paul O'Grady playing Barry Manilow, we are at the cutting edge of new music!

Don't worry about us on our own on the site.  We won't be lonely.  It's so good not having to worry who is in the next cubicle!
